The Ryleys Welcomes New Headmaster

It’s the end of an era at The Ryleys School in Alderley Edge, following the retirement of Headmaster Pat Barrett. Having joined the School in 1975, and been Head for 15 years, the final day of term was a sad day for staff and pupils alike.

The decision to retire was not an easy one for Pat and his wife Barbara; both were wholly committed to The Ryleys. However, they are leaving following a fantastic Inspection which saw the School rated ‘Outstanding’ in every category.

In September, the new term sees Paul Berry take up the reins. Previously at S. Anselms Prep School in Bakewell, Paul is a huge enthusiast for everything a Prep School education represents; small welcoming classes, superb facilities and inspiring teaching, all of which are hallmarks of The Ryleys.

If you would like to meet Paul and his family, please come along to Open Morning on Saturday 6th October, 10am – 12noon.
