Get Curious with SciTech This Half‑Term and Easter Holiday!

If your child loves to ask “why?” and “how?”, SciTech holiday clubs are the perfect way to let that curiosity run wild.

SciTech started in 1991 when founder Philip Rose took a leap from his day job to share his passion for hands‑on science with children, starting with just fifty young scientists in a small school hall. Over the years, that simple idea has grown into a much-loved programme of science and technology holiday activities that has inspired thousands of young minds.

At SciTech, children don’t just sit and watch. They dive straight in with experiments, gadgets and creative projects that make scientific ideas real, hands-on, and genuinely fun.

This year SciTech’s holiday clubs are full of interactive sessions that are as entertaining as they are educational. Here’s a taste of what’s in store:

•   Animation
Children learn how to create their own animations, inspired by the kind of storytelling that brings cartoons to life. Using stop-frame techniques and exploring why moving images appear smooth to the eye, participants bring drawings, digital graphics, and even toys to life.
•   Food Technology
Young food scientists explore the science behind taste and texture. From Molecular Gastronomy and Blind Tasting challenges to creating Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream, they get to experiment and eat the results!
•   Time
Time might seem simple, but there’s lots of science to explore. Children build their own timing devices, use high-speed video and strobe photography to slow things down, and take on quirky challenges like calculating how many nano-millennia it takes to boil an egg — all while discovering some fascinating physics.

Whether your child is fascinated by creativity, technology, food, or just how the world works, SciTech’s activities are designed to spark curiosity and build confidence through interactive learning.
