Early Years Outdoor Learning – Open Morning at Forest Prep School

Join Forest Preparatory School in Timperley on Saturday, 11^th October 10 – 11am, for a joyful morning in the open air as they celebrate the launch of their brand-new Outdoor Learning Facility – a milestone that marks an exciting chapter in 101^st year of school’s history.

Returning to Our Roots

Set on the grounds of what was once a flourishing orchard, our new outdoor learning space reconnects us with the natural heritage of Forest. This thoughtfully designed area gives our youngest learners a rich, hands-on environment where curiosity, confidence, and creativity can thrive. Values of a True Forester!

Why Attend?

This special Open Morning is a chance for prospective families to:

• Explore our purpose-built Outdoor Learning Facility.
• Experience how we implement Outdoor Learning to deliver parts of the EYFS curriculum, through engaging activities.
• See the clear progression of skills from Nursery through to Kindergarten and Reception, as children grow in independence, resilience, communication and physical development.
• Meet our passionate Early Years team, and learn how outdoor learning is embedded into daily life at Forest
• Gain insight into how we nurture a love of learning through child-led discovery, nature-based experiences, and purposeful play

Who is this Open Morning suitable for?

• Children currently in Reception. We have a rare place available!
• Parents of preschool aged children (our Nursery is for children who are aged 2 on the 31st August in the school year in which they are joining us).

What to Expect

• Guided tours of the new facility by our current Year 6 children.
• Let your child get their hands dirty at the various age-specific activity stations.
• Meet our 2 baby Pygymy Goats.
• Demonstrations of curriculum-linked outdoor learning
• Refreshments served al fresco.
