Wilmslow Prep: Great offers for Year 6 students
Pupils in Year 6 at Wilmslow Preparatory School are marking a strong set of exam results this year, with offers and scholarships from a number of some of the most prestigious senior schools across the region.
Children received offers from schools within the Manchester Consortium, as well as from other grammar schools in Trafford. Places were also confirmed at a range of independent schools, including Manchester Grammar School, Manchester High School for Girls, Withington Girls’ School, King’s School Macclesfield, Moreton Hall School, Stockport Grammar School, The Grange and Cheadle Hulme School.
In total, the cohort secured 36 offers. Scholarships were awarded across several areas, including academic (5), music (3), drama (2) and sport (1), reflecting a mix of academic achievement and wider interests.
Headteacher Bradley Lavagna-Slater commented: “We are all immensely proud of our pupils and their exam success, it’s testament to their commitment and resilience throughout the process. I would also like to extend my thanks to our teaching staff and families in helping the children to achieve their full potential”.
The results continue a pattern of pupils from the school moving on to selective and independent senior schools, with a range of achievements spanning academics, arts and sport.
