Wilmslow Preparatory School success at Alderley Edge Festival

Preparatory School is celebrating outstanding success after its four choirs received top results at the Alderley Edge Festival. The choirs, consisting of pupils from Prep 1 up to Prep 6, were awarded two 1st places and two 2nd places, highlighting the school’s love for music, and its ability to nurture talent, dedication and enthusiasm.

The Alderley Edge Festival is a prestigious event that provides a platform for young musicians to showcase their talents. The festival attracts entries from across the region, making Wilmslow Prep’s achievements even more noteworthy.

Commenting on the accomplishments, Mr Lavagna-Slater, Headteacher at the School, said, “We are extremely proud of our pupils’ achievements at the Alderley Edge Festival. Our music programme is an integral part of our curriculum, and we believe that it helps to develop the pupils’ creativity, confidence and self-esteem. It’s fantastic to see their hard work and dedication recognised in this way.
