Manchester High School for Girls – Open Events

MHSG has educated young women, aged 4-18, for nearly 150 years and the girls leave the school as ambitious, principled young women, ready to take on the world.

MHSG’s pioneering alumnae epitomise the school’s approach; from the Pankhurst sisters, to today’s leaders, including Nicola Mendelsohn (EMEA Vice President, Facebook) and Dr Kotska Wallace (Principal Engineer, European Space Agency), they inspire current pupils to aim high.

The school’s vision is excellence: to deliver a pioneering, innovative, and dynamic learning experience within a compassionate and caring environment for a needs blind, diverse community where the wellbeing and happiness of every individual and the fulfilment of their potential are the priorities.

Manchester High is proud to have a reputation for academic excellence, but recognises that extra-curricular opportunities and a caring ethos are equally important in supporting the pupils as they become outward-looking and forward-thinking young women, forging pioneering lives and careers.

The girls’ wellbeing and their holistic development is a priority for the staff of the school as they encourage pupils to develop character, to build resilience, self-confidence and self-esteem, so that they can flourish as individuals.

MHSG prides itself on having educated many world-changing women and is equally excited about its current pupils’ potential.
