Matt Davies is holding the Scarlett Ball, named after his five-year-old daughter Scarlett, in Rochdale Town Hall, on Saturday 2 July. He hopes the event will raise £10,000 to be split between Rainbow Trust, which supports families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness, and When you Wish Upon A Star.
One of the country’s most historic, and iconic, schools turned pink to raise money for a local breast cancer charity. Boys were invited to wear an article of pink clothing to raise funds for the Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention charity, based in Wythenshawe, Manchester.
