King’s alumna Alex Clarke has won the ‘The Rising Star Award’ in the 2019 British Jazz Awards.
The talented Jazz saxophonist and former King’s pupil landed the top prize in what is regarded as one of the blue-ribbon categories for British jazz aficionados. Among the top award winners this year was the legendary Courtney Pine, so Alex is in very good company.
It’s finally here – the season of good cheer, delicious food, warming beverages, and, of course, decisions. How much food do I need to last through the festivities? Which family members are getting an invite this year? Do people still send cards or is it just texts now? Brilliant Macclesfield gymnast Ebony Gaddum has been crowned English Gymnastics Champion for ages 10 and 11.
At the English Championships, Ebony won gold medals with her beautiful beam and floor routines with a silver on the bars, leading to the overall gold with a solid performance in the vault.
