Reader’s Review: Bank Holiday Golfing!!

Paradise Island Golf head in the hole standWhat to do on a bank holiday with a four-year-old in the Manchester drizzle? Well Golf of course!!
We went to The Trafford Centers latest craze: Paradise Island Golf.

My husband and I like to keep our four-year-old active in the day so bedtime is far easier at night – as most parents have worked out it’s the ying and yang of good evenings! So, when I got the opportunity to try the Miniature Indoor Golf course at the Trafford Centre in Bank Holiday I jumped at the chance.

We waited in the anticipated queue and we were off. I would expect it is crazy on a Saturday afternoon – this could add to the excitement of a more experience putter, but for most this could make it a quick game to keep up with the crowd. It’s tricky to describe but imagine a golf course in the jungle! It is all parrots and Child made a short at Paradise Island Mini Golf Course, Manchesterinsects sounds with a quirky joke thrown in from the parrots and monkeys having a chat.

Paradise Island is excellent on many levels – it’s a fun family experience to start with but also it encourages many skills, i.e. hand to eye coordination, waiting your turn, counting and keeping the scorecard.

I couldn’t recommend it more as a change from the normality of soft play, trampolining and usual weekend sports. It’s indoor, clean fun and will encourage a skill for life from all ages.

Mummy scored a hole in one at the 19th hole which raised a few eyebrows and a smug mummy face too.

I just came across this, and can’t wait to take my little boy. He loved the pitiful excuse for snow that fell last year – he will love this!
