Awards galore for MagiKats students in Stockport

Students of the Romiley MagiKats Tuition Centre were honoured for a series of phenomenal achievements at their first ever awards ceremony on 30th January 2015.

MagiKats, providers of Maths and English tuition for 5-16 year olds, hosted an awards ceremony to recognise and reward the dedication and development of young students attending their Tuition Centre.

The event was attended by students, family and friends and MagiKats Principal, Graham Waterhouse and Parliamentary candidate for the local constituency, Will Wragg handed out a selection of awards and commendations including ‘Student of the Year’.

Graham Waterhouse, Principal of MagiKats Romiley said: “This event was a wonderful opportunity to recognise the tremendous effort made by the children in developing their individual skill levels. Awards were made to mark improvements in both English and Maths and we are delighted to award our top accolade of ‘Student of the Year’ to Lucia Cannon, aged 8. These successes vindicate my decision to set up a MagiKats Tuition Centre in Romiley in 2013”.

Julia Cannon, Lucia’s mum, said; “In just one year, Lucia has made tremendous strides in both her English and Maths skills, particularly improved confidence levels, and I have been very impressed with the content of the course and the fun and accessibility of the material. Lucia really enjoys her time at MagiKats, especially working in small groups with children outside her school.
