Kanula Tee Shirt – for you and for the planet
As children get older they want to assert their own sense of identity in their clothing. Suddenly you’re at a crossroads: as the parent your role of filling their wardrobe with practical, hard-wearing clothing is no longer the main priority. As they near the pre-teen phase, they want to choose clothes that make a statement about who they are. It can make shopping difficult.
Kanula tee shirts offer enough variety in design and colour to give the child a sense of individuality whilst also positively impacting the planet – a truly unique feature most clothing brands cannot replicate.
I ordered a Kanula tee shirt for my lanky 9-year-old son and he has assisted me in writing this review. From the point of view of the parent, I found the shirt to be of good quality, it runs a bit big which is great because it means he’ll get more than just a summer’s wear out of it. I also appreciated that the shirt came with a great talking point: the conservation of sea turtles isn’t a topic that has cropped up in our lives. I was grateful for the opportunity to explain the plight of the sea turtles and the importance of supporting an ethical company on a mission to effort change.
From my son’s point of view, the tee shirt is comfy but long. He says he doesn’t mind that the shirt is big because he is able to ‘grow into it’. He was particularly interested in the design and remarked that it reminded him a surfing logo, which he thought was especially cool. His tee shirt (£15.00) also came with a turtle necklace worth £14.99.
From the colour to the design, he remarked that he wouldn’t change anything about the shirt. He also thinks it would make a great gift for a child, and he recommends it for birthdays or special occasions.
We both like the quality of the shirt. It is soft and comfortable to wear and it is surely to be a conversation starter with people inquiring what Kanula means and what the significance of the sea turtles are.
Overall, we were both pleased with this tee shirt, with the company’s ethos and their important work and would consider making further purchases from Kanula in the future.

I like the idea of a longer T shirt. Both myself and Daisy have long bodies and short legs so we often find that T shirts hit us around waist length and often feel short.

These tee shirts and hoodies look great, and it’s wonderful that they are supporting the turtles. Would have loved to find out where the products were made (couldn’t find that on the website?)
