Reader’s Review: Bouncing Fun for the Whole Family

We recently visited Inflata Nation Attraction Park in Trafford for an afternoon to escape the rain and burn some energy! We hoped for a fun family day out and were not disappointed.

The afternoon was made easy, with online booking for an hour slot and pre-completion of the safety waiver sent by email. I would recommend arriving 20-25 minutes beforehand. We could use the recommended lockers and take our time after checking in. The lockers fit several pairs of shoes and a bag or two, but bulkier items and big winter coats are best left in the car if there are more than two of you.

Our comfortable clothing was perfect and we were warm enough without being hot in T-shirts and joggers. We sat and watched the users from the existing session to pass the time before we were called to our safety meeting. The lay out of the venue allows you to stay in the café or use the upstairs viewing area if you are not participating. Other than the slides, you can see most of the action. The café menu looked varied, fairly priced and with free Wi-Fi it was a perfect place to spend time before our session. Also there is no entrance fee for spectators.

To say we had fun is an understatement. Whilst there seemed to be a moderate queue for our session, it felt really spacious once we were into the arena and bouncing. There is something very therapeutic about children and adults alike, bouncing and laughing their way around activities. The giant ball pit was a huge hit and the children made short work of burying me and swimming around!

Next up was the 2 lane obstacle course which both the 7 and 5 year old completed without help, but it challenged them too. We did this circuit several times during our session and it was a great work out.

Both children say “the slides are best we have been on!” and they couldn’t get back up for another turn quick enough. They were fearless and in hysterics with each go and I lost count of how many turns they had.

The hour went quickly but they were both ready to stop (as was I!) when our session ended. Bouncing is thirsty work and a jug of water and cups were readily available in the café. Next time we will factor in a stop for coffee or lunch, as from the plates we could see the food looked really appetising and there is plenty of seating.

We noticed adverts for parties and adult only sessions, as well as classes throughout the week. It really was enjoyable fun family time, whilst getting us active too. I have to admit, I had my reservations about visiting at peak time, on a wet weekend, and being outnumbered by the children. However, we had a fantastic afternoon, filled with laughter and we are looking forward to meeting friends there next time.
