Farmyard fun with Peppa Pig and her family at the ELR
East Lancashire Railway is thrilled to welcome back everyone’s favourite cheeky little piggies at the Peppa Pig and Friends Fun Day on 25 – 26 August.
Say hello to Peppa, George, Daddy Pig and Mummy Pig as they meet, greet, and entertain at intervals throughout the day in the Bury Transport Museum, sited just across the road from Bolton Street Station in Bury. Can you complete Peppa’s activity trail amidst the museum exhibits?
The family fun continues with a fun fair in the museum yard, balloon modellers, face painters and even a petting zoo where you can meet even more farmyard friends.
Complete your day out with a ride along one of the East Lancashire Railway’s heritage steam or diesel trains. The line stretches 12 miles through the Irwell Valley and every stop is the start of a new adventure.
Take a stroll around the beautiful Queen’s Park in Heywood, visit Bury’s museums, shop for gifts on Ramsbottom’s olde worlde high street and stop for refreshments at Mr Fitzpatrick’s in Rawtenstall, Britain’s last remaining original temperance bar.
If you need to fuel up, food is available at the railway’s own Trackside Pub. This fresh look, family friendly bar features a varied menu of locally sourced, delicious treats. Snacks, sandwiches, and soft drinks are also available at the Platform Buffet on Platform 3/4, Bolton Street Station.
Both the museum and Bury Station have a gift shop, the ideal place to pick up a memento of what is sure to be a fantastic day out with the family.
Your Peppa Pig and Friends Fun Day ticket includes a ride on any train services on the day of your visit as well as access to all the events and attractions, including the meet and greet with Peppa and her family.
