Parent Concern - Coaching advice, guidance and strategies for carers and parents | LogoAt the end of 2013 the pupils from Parent Concern have been awarded a special prize, ‘our favourite school entry’ by The Times.

The Times received over 2,000 entries from children aged 4- 11 years from all over the U.K The children had to write in no more than 200 words ‘What would you do if the tiger knocked on your door’?

The judges were Lesley Thomas, Weekend Editor of The Times and Judith Kerr author of The Tiger Who Came to Tea and some of the team from Harper Collins Publishers.

The award read “We thought your children’s stories were incredibly imaginative and included some delightful ideas, especially Tom’s story suggesting to put shrinking powder on the tiger to hide him from his parents… Therefore we have arranged for a few prizes to be sent your way; tiger plush and a mini–library of Judith’s books.”

We now have the fabulous prizes in our possession and all the children are thrilled!
