Pass the Presents this Mother’s Day

This Mother’s Day, Street Child is asking Mothers to help transform the lives of children orphaned by Ebola in West Africa by passing on a present at passthepresents.org.

Simply ask your child to go to passthepresents.org, chose a Mother’s Day gift, then donate the equivalent amount to Street Child, and see how in real terms that money could help an Ebola orphan in Sierra Leone and Liberia. £10 could provide a set of clothes and a pair of shoes; £25 could provide a mattress; £36 could educate a child for a year; £60 could set up an Ebola orphan’s family with a sustainable business. Juliet Appleby, regional fundraiser for Street Child said: “This Mother’s Day please help us make a real difference to orphaned children’s lives. More than 10,000 people have died of Ebola in the recent outbreak in West Africa leaving 30,000 children orphaned. Street Child provides emergency humanitarian aid, trauma counselling and reunification with extended family. We’re urgently seeking funds for our Ebola Orphan Appeal.”
